Managing Director
Saufi Adam, Managing Director of Cemara Energy, is a distinguished leader with a Master of Engineering from the University of Liverpool, an MBA from IE Business School, and certification as a technologist by the Malaysian Board of Technologists (MBOT). Saufi’s career began as a maintenance engineer at Malakoff Corporation Bhd, where he honed his technical expertise in a 1200MW coal-fired power plant.
His journey then advanced to the upstream sector with Halliburton, specializing in casing equipment technology. During his tenure, Saufi managed complex projects and designed hundreds of customized casing solutions for diverse well conditions globally. Building on his technical foundation, he progressed into business development and advisory roles across multiple companies, managing contracts and establishing strong partnerships with industry leaders such as PETRONAS, PTTEP, BASF, and Arkema.
With a rich blend of technical knowledge, strategic insights, and a track record of success, Saufi is dedicated to steering Cemara Energy towards operational excellence and delivering exceptional value to clients worldwide.
